Our first tour on day one took us to see Qutab Minar which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
While we were waiting for our tour guide we saw these two cute guys hanging in the trees.
The Qutab Minar is located in Delhi and is a minaret and victory tower. It stands 239.5 feet tall, contains a spiral staircase of 379 steps and is made up of 5 stories.
It consists of 5 levels, the first of which was built in 1199 and was made of red sandstone. Levels 2 and 3 were also made of red sandstone. The 4th level is made of marble and the 5th is made of marble and sandstone.
We see these cute little creatures everywhere we go. They look like a cross between a chipmunk and a squirrel.
Here are some random pictures of different structures throughout the site. The visit to this site was just a taste of what was to come.
