Sorry to have gone MIA; between the long days with game drives and lack of internet, we’re a bit behind with blogging.
This is a short follow up to Chuck’s blog post about the visit with the Maasai family.
I’m truly blessed to have a husband with an adventurous spirit, Chuck loves to travel and to experience the world through people we encounter, their lives, families, and food.
So, going to spend the day, one on one, with a Maasai family was a dream come true for him. From the time he was small, he’s had an obsession with the Maasai.
Here are some behind the scenes images from our day. I hung back and watched Chuck interact with Daniel, our host, as well as with his family.
It nearly brought me to tears. Not only seeing Chuck so happy but seeing Daniel, a simple herder, living on next to nothing sharing his life and friendship with us.
This was ABSOLUTELY a once in a lifetime experience for both of us.
Maybe a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
