NO, not a real baby boy silly, we only adopt the four-legged kind.
I had a rough day at work the other day and came home to an email from Daphne Sheldrick Wildlife Trust with a nice little surprise attached.
Mark got me an early birthday present and adopted a strapping young boy named Kiombo who was born on March 20, 2017.
He was rescued from the Masai Mara in Kenya, they say his mother died of natural causes. We will be contributing to his care for the next 2 years.
Needless to say, I was excited.
We are both huge animal lovers and all of our pets have been rescues.
Unfortunately, it is too close to our Kenya trip to schedule a personal visit. They only have one hour a day to have these types of visits and his spot is taken for the day we are there.
So we will have to settle for seeing him with all of the other calves, which in my opinion is not settling at all. We will get to see these beautiful creatures up close and hopefully get a few pics of him with his adoptive siblings.
If you would like to see his amazing rescue, here is the link. And keep an eye out for the real pics we hope to get in the next few weeks.
