It took us just about a month from the time we got home to get the blog completely caught up – we realized that between not having WiFi during our bus travels, trying to download and edit hundreds of photos from two cameras and two iPhone and writing 30 blog posts takes a lot of time.
Yes, somewhere in between I also posted about two dozen TripAdvisor reviews too.
We needed to say a few things about Gate 1 Travel – we were initially WOWED by the affordability of our trip.
We are typically pretty adventurous travelers but knew that the language barrier in rural areas would make it hard to travel to places we wanted to see. So a tour group was the way to go for this vacation. and we don’t regret a minute of it.
Gate 1 was wonderful to work with, the itinerary, tours, meals and hotels were all really well done and organized. It was a small group of about 29 people, which was just right for sightseeing.
Se ABSOLUTELY can’t say enough great things about our tour manger Ranee – bright, funny, personable, knowledgeable, and caring with a great command of English.
We’re now strongly considering another trip back to Thailand to visit northern provinces of Chaing Mai and Chaing Rai and we’ve already started looking at Gate 1 tours in other parts of the world.
Until next time….
